Description & Facts: The big London opening of 2004 was Firmdale Hotels' flagship property, created in a former multi-storey car park in Soho. The 91-room hotel's red-brick façade is pure Manhattan warehouse, and the interiors are a triumph. Owner-designer Kit Kemp's signature Chesterfield sofas and canopied beds have been updated with prints and stripes in lime and fuchsia or black and cream.
