Description & Facts: This was a special flight flown by Aeroflot on April 21 2010 to fly passengers stranded by the volcano ash crisis from Moscow to London. An Airbus A330-300 was used for this flight. Many nervous pasengers, great crew on-board - very professional and service-oriented. Aircraft had a missed appraoch / aborted landing at first attempt (traffic on runway), making lots of people even more nervous. Spontaneous applause after smooth landing on second attempt. The stranded passengers had bonded while held up in a hotel in Moscow for several days, and now even have their own Facebook group! People of all nationalities, connecting from Asia to London. Lots of hugging of goodbyes at baggage claim.
