    Beijing or also Peking is one of Four Great Ancient Capitals of People's Republic of China and is positioned in the northern part of the country. Peking was a host of 2008 Summer Olympics and is the center of Culture and Arts. It's the capital of a country with most inhabitants in the world.

    It's fame also comes from historical values like museums, temples, palaces, stone walls and much more. The name itself means 'northern capital' which is a part of eastern tradition to name the capitals in such matter. It is also known worldwide by the 'Forbiden City' which is an Imperial residence within the city.

    Today Beijing is a modern metropolis which is visited by masses of tourists. One of the main concerns are enviromental since the air polution represents a big negative factor.
