Description & Facts: Construction of Votive Church began in 1913, but due to the outbreak of the First World War, it was not completed until 1930. Builded in neoroman style. It is the fourth largest church in Hungary. The dome is 54m outside (33m above the inside floor) and the towers are both 91m high. The "Heroes' bell" in the tower on the Tisza side weighs 8600kg. The small tower next to the Votive church is the remains of the St. Demeter church wich was destroyed by the big flood in 1879, it is the oldest boulding in Szeged, it was builded in the XIII century. Around there are the buildings of the university(1929-1930) A Fogadalmi templom építése 1913-ban indult, de az első világháború miatt csak 1930-ban fejezhették be. Neoromán stílusban épült. Ez a negyedik legnagyobb templom Magyarországon, a kupola 54 méter magas kívül(33m a belső padlótól számítva), a tornyok 91 méter magasak. A "Hősök harangja" a tisza oldala felöli toronyban 8600 kg. A fogadalmi templom mellett a kis torony az 1879-es nagy szegedi árvízben lerombolt Szent Dömötör templom maradványai. Ez Szeged legrégebbi épülete, a XIII. században épült.
