The film starts with the passengers checking in at San Francisco airport, where the Captain shows passengers the layout of the Stratocruiser using a large cutway airline display model of a Stratocruiser. Passengers then board, engines are started and the Stratocruiser rolls down the runway. We then see the crew on the flight deck as the aircraft departs the west coast with San Francisco below. We are then treated to all the luxuries available to passengers aboard the magestic Stratocruiser in flight over the Pacific to Hawaii.
